In a bid to trim or reduce fuel costs, each international and domestic passenger of Cebu Pacific Air is now only allowed to carry check-in baggages not over 15kgs in weight. However, if you are traveling to and fro the internationally acclaimed Boracay Beach Resort in Caticlan, the Philippines, then the maximum baggage allowance remains at 10kgs per passenger. It’s not a very bad idea though since the fuel prices remain very high and is seen to continue rising that airline operators should also consider cost-saving measures in order to reduce the costs as well as the extra costs imposed on the passengers for fuel surcharges. This action from the Cebu Pacific Airline is in fact beneficial and rewarding to both the airline operator and the passengers because if you travel really light without any check-in bags, then your trip is really fast and smooth that you don’t need to anymore to queue to retrieve your checked-in baggages. That process really takes time. Not only that, they would reward you a Php200 fare discount but if there is a need to carry more and exceed the allowable baggage weight, the airline still shows its generosity by offering a 20% discount for prepayment of your excess baggage through its website and/or ticket offices.
So, guys, if you are planning your trips to the beautiful islands of the Philippines for diving, bird or whale shark watching, natural park sight-seeing, or whatever that purpose could be, you had better check out if you are light enough to go on board in order to reach your destination fast and so relaxed. Christmas is just around the corner and there are just too much merry-making fun fairs in this archipelagic nation during this season. Great fun I suppose — hmmm, I’m thinking…
