Wimbledon 2008 is just around the corner with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal expected to meet again in the French Open ‘08 Finals in Paris before heading out for this year’s wimbley in London. The no. 1 and super-talented Federer still couldn’t get his feet on the clay court as comfortably as Nadal, yet, tennis on grass and hard courts are his specialties. I’ll definitely go for a very intense cheer for the no. 1 tennis legend, being my favorite and hero. There’s this cute Djokovic that steals the spotlight sometimes, too, and the pretty lads Sharapova and Ivanovic in the women’s category that also show some promise in the grand slam event. On the other hand, while Thailand is famous in its kick-boxing event, it is now making waves in the football field, too. By the way, do you care to watch a very exciting rematch in boxing between Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr.? People are talking so much about this upcoming De La Hoya/Mayweather rematch which could take place anytime in September of this year. Watching the previous thrilling matches between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Barrera, as well as Pacquiao’s fight with Marquez, only tells me that this De La Hoya/Mayweather tandem is far more exhilarating. You should get yourself the De La Hoya vs Mayweather tickets as early as now so you could ensure a seat for yourself for this big event.

It was earlier rumored that Oscar De La Hoya may back off on plans for a May fight citing speculations that the Golden Boy is now looking at a big money rematch with Floyd Mayweather in September. It makes sense to me though for the fact that since you will really have to fight, then fight big time for big cash. Their first bout broke all PPV records last May in Las Vegas and that the Golden Boy Promotions’ CEO, Richard Schaefer, told ESPN that the bout is “almost finalized” for September 13 or September 20. It’s getting closer and closer—this is the fight one should never miss. More information regarding this great boxing rematch can be found at http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=3200384 and also at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_La_Hoya-Mayweather_boxing_match.
