“No matter how tired, no matter how far…I always try to hit the road each weekend just to see you. There’s that undeniable magic, your charismatic aura…it always tempts me to keep coming to you. In heavy downpour or skin-burning sunny day, your splendid beauty keeps calling me…Here I come, here I come, here I’m coming again and again…now it’s everyday!” ~ JRP. As I’m reading this heart-warming narrative, I am recalling past memories of my University days. The scenes of entrance to the Thammasat University is much similar to the Principal Street of Rangoon University leading to the magnificent Convocation Hall and a long line of the Gold Mohur trees (Delonix regia) growing along the road side is also the same scenery of the Principal Street. The Photo makes me pining for those days as well as remembering of nostalgic song regarding with the University.
“It’s the time of commencing new semester,
And also the season of the fallen petals of Gold Mohur flowers, spreading on entire ground.
In this premises, I happened to meet with both my darling and beautiful Cobra’s Saffron blossom (Mesua ferrea).
It is a place called the Rangoon University Campus or the emerald island of Inya Lake environs.”
I realize that a University whichever will be is a haven of peaceful territory.
