thai1.gifLearning a third language offers a great advantage and being able to speak it is a sure plus especially if you decide to live and work in another country. In addition to English, Filipino (Tagalog) with a little mix of Spanish that my sister speaks — I guess that since she plans to remain in the Kingdom of Thailand for an indefinite length of time — it is rather important that she speaks the local language as well. Having learnt the language, she would then be able to make use of it to travel anywhere in Bangkok or Thailand in general.

I have always melted over the sounds of Thai, Spanish and Japanese — as I always think that they sound remarkably song-like all the time while German is always delightfully crude and I’ve already learnt German words quite a bit. Ja, Ich spreche Duetsche sehr gut! Hehe…Anyways, going back to my sister’s option to learn reading, speaking and writing in Thai, below are some very helpful links for references. Actually, you don’t really have to be in Thailand to learn the local language. You could learn Thai here, too! These links offer great learning tools for beginners like me and you.
