Very sadly speaking, working overtime to earn more income for wealth accumulation and make ends meet can increase your fatigue level and can decrease your quality time spent with your family thereby making happiness and a balance between work and family difficult to maintain. Yet, many people do that! I’m no exception—yet what I do is not only about making more money but fulfilling my love of the work I’m doing. At least for now, I still find it really fun working long hours on the internet almost 24/7. I don’t want to claim it, I can’t also boast about it, but I know and realize that since 1999, I have become a true internet addict. Yes, I manage my websites for fun and money, too ;).
You don’t have to read hundreds of accounting, finance, financial management, and investment books, or to be a financial guru to be able to do financial planning. You just have to follow the basic rule—the 90% rule—and following this 90% rule will almost certainly guarantee your financial success. This rule suggests that you live on 90% of your income and save the remaining 10%. Rather than working overtime or double time to support your lifestyle, you can instead make a few small changes in your habits and ways of thinking in order to reduce your monthly expenses, and sure will make your savings plan to succeed.
